An Open Door and Open Arms for the Medically Complex: Meet Foster Parent Linda Scott

Foster parent and Chelmsford resident Linda Scott has lovingly cared for infants, toddlers and teens with complex medical needs for 38 years. As a former healthcare professional, Linda and her home have served as a gateway to better days for 80 foster children.

As a part of Foster Care Awareness Month, Linda reflects on her fostering journey with The Home, sharing what it is like to support kids with rare conditions and why one should never doubt the unique potential of a child.

When Camp Becomes Family: Duane’s Story

Duane's childhood was a dark time, colored by the death of his mother at age six and what felt like a constant battle to connect with others.

Over the course of the next decade, Duane spent many summers at Camp Wediko, where he learned how to embrace new opportunities and make meaningful connections with the peers and staff he now considers family.
